The experience of serving as an LDS bishop is entirely unique in all the world.<\/b> In this book, the authors capture this uniqueness by weaving a rich tapestry of bishops\u2019 experiences using quotes from interviews conducted over the past 30 years with former and current bishops, their wives, and stake presidents. In this book they speak for themselves, sharing their own experiences of what it was like to be called; how they balanced their work, family, and church responsibilities; how they dealt with disappointment\u2014and more. These experiences are sensitive and honest. Taken together, these dedicated servants tell a story that is faith promoting, sometimes surprising, and deeply moving.
